BHL to Wikidata

A tool by Rod Page, code on GitHub

This tool is inspired by SourceMD and works in much the same way. Enter one or more identifiers, one per line. The tool checks whether they already exist in Wikidata, if not it will create Quickstatements for them so you can add them yourself. If a work is already in Wikidata but is missing an identifier we know about, the tool generates statements to add it.

You can enter:

• a DOI, e.g. 10.24199/j.mmv.2004.61.3
• a BioStor id, e.g. biostor:192990
• a BHL part id, e.g. bhlpart:202055

There is also another tool, Cites Works which adds citation links to works with DOIs.

Author cache: 57,338 BHL creator ids, rebuilt 30 days ago. It has gone stale, so authors it doesn't list are looked up from Wikidata, which is slower and may fall back to plain author names. Run php update-creators.php to refresh it.
